- Have held the eligible visa for at least 3 years
- Have complied with all visa conditions, including:
- Living, working, and studying only in designated regional areas
- Demonstrate that your taxable income met or exceeded the minimum income threshold for at least 3 income years while holding the provisional visa
2. Hong Kong (Regional) Stream
This stream is designed for eligible Hong Kong passport holders.
Eligibility Criteria
You must:
- Hold a Hong Kong passport or British National (Overseas) passport
- Hold an eligible visa, such as:
- Temporary Work (Skilled) Visa – Subclass 457 (where transitional provisions apply)
- Temporary Skill Shortage Visa – Subclass 482
- Temporary Graduate Visa – Subclass 485
- During the 3 years immediately before applying, you must:
- Have lived, worked, and studied only in designated regional areas
